Thaumaturgic Rulership of Queen Elizabeth 1

Elisabeth created a mystical air about herself. She was deified as a living Protestant saint and a truly divine ruler. She took every opportunity to be seen as magickal. When she rejected the marriage proposal of the King of Spain, he threatened that there was ‘a wind arising in Spain that would wipe away her arrogance.’ To which Elizabeth replied, ‘But I command the winds and if I choose they will wipe away the might of Span in a night.’ After that very thing happened, when a storm destroyed his armada whilst it attempted to attack England, the King of Spain became superstitiously afraid of her for the rest of his life.


Her virginity was highly prized and highly praised by the people of England, and Elizabeth missed no opportunity to catch the veneration due sacred virginity. From the start of her reign she was crowned Queen of France added to and tales of her receiving her notification of her ascension whilst reading under a large and stately oak tree, alluded to the 900 year old Prophecies of Merlin” in Geoffrey of Monmouth’s “Historia,” the Sibyl, and the Venerable Bede. These legends had served Joan of Arc in her campaign one hundred years before and served Elizabeth just as well. They had foretold the coming of a maiden out of an oak-wood that would save her country. “It was said that after nearly a century of war this young maiden would unite her divided people and lead them to freedom.” The French mystic, Marie of Avignon, adapted this to her own country and added: that which had been “lost by a woman, should be saved by a Maid.”

Elizabeth acted as the Protestant replacement of the Virgin Mary in the newly converted England. Indeed many literary allusions were drawn between the many mythological or Pagan images of the virginal female deity and Elizabeth. She was called the Queen of Heaven, Diana, Cynthia, and Belphoebe amongst others, which added to the rich imagery of the pageantry of the time.

Thaumaturgic rulership where the king or queen, after their mystical coronation and anointing ritual, can perform miracles or magick, has a long history in Europe. The ultimate manifestation of the divine in Monarchy was the manifestation of spontaneous healings especially of Tuberculosis, swelling of the neck glands, and casting out of demons, with a touch of their hands. Elizabeth often quoted her ability to use this power as a sign that her much debated rulership was in fact ordained by God. William Tooker in his 1597 book “Charisma Or The Gift Of Healing,” site cases of Elizabeth exhibiting this divine power to the point where she even healed Catholics. The royal healing touch miracles made the public view her with extreme holiness.

Elizabeth experienced extreme glorification. She was the head of The Church of England and soon became the second maid in heaven as patriotic Englishmen shifted their affection for The Sacred Virgin to her. When the Catholics quoted St Paul In the Book of Corinthians saying: “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience… let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.” As reasons why she could not be the head of a church and should be married, Elizabeth countered with: “Honour the physician with the honour due him, according to your need of him, for the Lord created him.” Alluding to her healing touch being given as a sign of approval from God. Elizabeth was venerated as God’s handmaiden on earth. This aided the queen to justify her unmarried state, and when “this scriptural figure was turned to glorify Elizabeth; it fused prettily with her conceit that she was the virgin mother of her people, joined in holy wedlock to the state.” suggests the1939 book “England’s Eliza” by E.C. Wilson.

John Dee Joined The RAeR

While Dee was in Antwerp, Belgim, he became a member of a secretive group. The author Hendrick Niclaes was also a member Dee writes about it  as being a non-aligned group based on the Pagan philosophies of Pythagorean/Shambhallic government being to take the second way of the Pythagorean Y not the way of the tyrant. It was not based on any one-belief system. It had no arbitrary commands, articles of doctrine, church or congregation. It was without office or territorial claims, without a visible place of government, and can exist without moral or military coercion. It was to impartially cherish and love every race and religion on earth. It would endured successfully precisely because its authority is invisible and could never be attacked and could achieve impregnability by appearing to yielding to conquers yet eventually over coming them with this love. Regime Aegytianerrie Rectife is a survival of the Egyptian Mysteries as delivered to St Mark the Evangelist. It is of the oldest Templar tradition, emerging into the public light in the mid 18 century.

TheAccoladeLoResShambhallah Awareness Centre holds all the RAeR chaters, constitutional and bylaws materials. It is from Templar PROV. VII Germania Inferior reconstituted by PROV. V BVRGVNDIA. The Ancient mysteries nevertheless can still been gleaned from it. PROV. III Occitania is much more esoteric in the main and have not been masonic in rites and customs since the French revolution if not earlier. So you will read a type of masonic perspective in  English. Latin & French materials are Templar and on account of this primarily esoteric.

MEM+MIZ, is a most omnivorous exponent and prolific influence of the arcane school of Freemasonry. That they may work as we do I should guess is doubtful. We are not descended from any O.T.O. sect. We are not Thelemic. We are not Anti Thelemic. The inner workings are deeply hermetic in the truest sense.

 Many Masonic rites trace back their true authorship to Cagliostro, who likewise claimed to be in contact with the Ancient Egyptian traditions, however this is not born out by his workings or their derivatives. One of the treads of our origins is Baron Von Hund’s SOT of which it is generally accepted that Cagliostro was a high degree member. Cagliostro’s was a cousin of the rite, so it is said… RAeR traveled through The Covenants of Kohlo 459 (1772 AD), Lyons 465 (1778 AD), and Wilhemsbad 496 (1778 AD). However ours has preserved it’s Illuminist Journeys and the fruits thereof.

Its then immediate vehicle was Regime Ecossois Rectife (Antient & Scottish Rectified Rite). During the Napoleonic Captivity it went underground. In the aftermath it parted with the Helvtians of Prov. V Burgundia. The Helvetians later on provide the English Masonic recencions of Regime Ecossais Rectife (Scottish Rectified Rite).

The R.Ae.R. lens in this era is Ecossois, Templar Prov III Occitania. Interdependent Grand Priory of Occitania. It is neither Masonic nor of Neo-Martinisms or Papus. It is Sacredotal, Aegytien with a broad appreciation of the Hermetic Arts. aka The Black Arts. viz Alchemy.  It is fundamentally Gnostic, a survival of the pre-Christian Christianity.

We do not belong to the Neo-Martinists, MEM+MIZ, RER, or the English System of Freemasonry. This does not mean that they are to be held in low regard rather that they are different systems with different concerns to ours. Membership in other organisations is the private concern of the individual concerned. We do ask that any one involved in our mysteries keeps them secret. There is a mystery in our secrecy.

Scota The Egyptian Princess Who Founded Scotland

How did the Mysteries get from Egypt to Scotland?

Scota was the name given to the mythological/historical figure, who was the daughter of an Egyptian Pharaoh in Irish mythology and Scottish mythology. Though legends vary, all agree that a Scota was the ancestor of the Gaels, who traced their ancestry to Irish invaders, called Scotti, who settled in Argyll and Caledonia, regions which later came to be known as Scotland after their founder. According to the legends Scota brought a very powerful Pharaonic magickal tradition with her.

Scota appears in the Irish chronicle Book of Leinster.  However, the 11th-century ‘Historia Brittonum’ contains an earlier reference to Scota. In the Lebor Gabála Érenn it states that Scota was the daughter of an Egyptian pharaoh who married Niul, a Babylonian. He was a scholar of languages and was invited by the Pharaoh to Egypt to take Scota’s hand in marriage. Scota and Nuil had a son, Goídel Glas, the eponymous ancestor of the Gaels, who created the Gaelic language by combining the best features of the 72 languages then in existence. A prophecy is pronounced over Nuil, on the day of his wedding to Scota, that no serpent or other poisonous creature will inhabit the shores of the far off mysterious western island that he and his descendants would inhabit one day. Niul and Scota’s people were driven from Egypt by a later Pharaoh, and wandered around the Mediterranean until they reached Spain. From Spain they made their way to Scotland. Escocia Mágica.

Eventually, Niul and Scota and their children, traveled to the west coast of Scotland, battled and defeated the Picts, and became the Scottish people. This version of Scottish lineage can also be found in the Declaration of Arbroath, an important document written in 1320 by the barons and noblemen of Scotland. In the second paragraph of the document, it is written:

Most Holy Father, we know and from the chronicles and books of the ancients we find that among other famous nations our own, the Scots, has been graced with widespread renown. It journeyed from Greater Scythia by way of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Pillars of Hercules, and dwelt for a long course of time in Spain among the most savage peoples, but nowhere could it be subdued by any people, however barbarous. Thence it came, twelve hundred years after the people of Israel crossed the Red Sea, to its home in the west where it still lives today.

Scota and the Stone of Scone
At the coronation of Alexander III of Scotland in 1249, Alexander had his royal genealogy recited generations back to Scota, highlighting Scota’s importance as the transporter of the Stone of Scone from Egypt to Scotland. She was said to be the linage holder of Moses and his Pharaonic High Ceremonial Magick, that he learned from the Egyptians and used to defeat them, to preserve his own people. Scota had used it to preserve her family alive when a usurper sort their death. It became the self-fulfilling prophecy that gave them their new kingdom. The Stone was thus seen as a magickal holy relic that conveyed the godly right to rule. All the kings of Scotland have received their coronation on that stone until 1296 when the Stone was captured by Edward I of England and taken to Westminster Abbey and placed under the throne of England.  In 1323, Robert the Bruce used the legend of Scota’s heritage and connection to the Stone in an attempt to see it returned to Scone Abbey in Scotland.

In Egyptian traditions, the royal line was matralineal. In the days befoer DNA testing you couldeasily prove who your mother was. The bloodline was often kept “pure” and defective, by marrying half siblings together. This was a common middle eastern practice and problem. The firstborn son of Pharaoh’s daughter became the next Pharaoh. If no son was born then the next pharaoh was a female additionally the surviving queen could become the next Pharaoh untill her child was old enough to assume the throne. (Cleopatra’s complaint to Cesar was the her brother, who was to rule and marry her when he came of age, was mentally deficient for this reason. Cleopatra reminded Cesar that she was already a wise ruler and a friend to Rome, supplying Julius Cesar with all the grain, and food his troupes needed for Rome’s campaigns,  and it would be better to keep her that way than have the scheming priests that controlled her mentally disabled brother plunge the two nations into war. Cesar up held Cleopatra’s traditional right to be Pharaoh.) The Pharaohs were taught a special brand of high magick , called pharonic magic.

Scota Historical Origins

Historical writers speculate that if Scota and her husband were a real royal couple that there 2 candidates for her true hitorical personage.  As the 3rd century BC source, Manetho’s Aegyptiaca suggests, Scota was actually Ankhesenamun, the widow of Tutankhamen. Her husband, on the other hand,  would be Ay, the successor, and the father of Tutankhamen. Due to religious conflict, Ay’s reign was cut short, and the pharaoh and his court were soon forced into exile. Like the Irish legends, Ay and Ankhesenamun wandered around before settling in Spain then to Ireland, and thence to Scotland. This legend is  similar to the tale of Meritaten the eldest daughter of Akhenaten and Nerfertiti. It is also interesting to note that the throne of the Stone of Scone is supported by effigies of the Egyptian Lion of St Mark.

There is, however, enough historical associations with her, for Scota to be considered a ‘real person.’ Scota’s grave site exists and may historical personages have been recognized with less a memorial than that. The Scotia’s Grave lies in a valley south of Tralee Township, Co. Kerry, Ireland. The area is known as Glenn Scoithin, “Vale of the Little Flower”, but is more popularly referred to as Foley’s Glen. A trail from the road leads along a stream to a clearing where a circle of large stones marks the grave site, as indicated by a County Council signpost on a by-road, south of Tralee.

Historically, heroic personages do grow larger with each retelling of their life but this should not be allowed to discredit the possibility that she was a real historical figure. Additionally, there are also traces of her in Scottish things that do not bear her name. High ceremonial lineages tied to Egyptian mysteries, science and architecture, do exist in Scotland. The Scottish lineages are the oldest of their kind that still exist in the world. They are set up to resist change, though doubtless change has occurred over time. While in Cyrene, St. Mark received a vision that he should go to Alexandria, around 42 A.D. By this action, according to Bishop Eusebius of Caesarea, as well as Coptic traditions, St. Mark the evangelist, who wrote the earliest of the four New Testament gospels, was the founder and first bishop of the Church of Alexandria, even before the Church of Rome was established.

In his landmark History of the Church , written in Greek about the year 310, Eusebius writes: “Now, they say that this Mark was the first to have set out to Egypt to preach the gospel, which he had already written down, and the first to have organized churches in Alexandria itself ” (Eusebius, HE 2.16.1). This information is supplemented by Eusebius’s Chronicle, where he places Mark’s arrival in Alexandria in the third year of Claudius’ reign, which would be AD 41-42 or 43-44. This is about ten years after the death of Jesus, traditionally held to be in AD 33.

The “Acts of Mark,” gives more details about Mark’s activities in Egypt. While the exact date of composition for the Acts of Mark is uncertain, these traditions are traceable at least to the late fourth or early fifth century. The are two streams of tradition within St Mark’s narrative. The first stream concerns Mark’s founding of the church in Alexandria. The second stream concerns Mark’s acquisition of mystical knowledge in Egypt, the country where Jesus spent his missing years and learned and honed his mystical abilities.

Mark upon arriving there found many of Jesus teaching already in practise and a church of sorts already established. The story goes this way: The day after receiving his vision to go to Egypt Mark arrived in Alexandria and came to a place called Mendion. As he was entering the gate of the city, the strap of his sandal broke, and Mark looked for a cobbler to fix it. As the cobbler was working on the sandal, he injured his left hand and cried out in pain, ‘God is one.’ Mark was surprised at this remake and asked how he knew that God id One God. The Cobbler replied that he had been taught this from birth. Mark healed the cobbler’s hand with the power of the holy spirit. To show his gratitude, the cobbler invited Mark to his home for a meal. There Mark began to preach the gospel of Jesus, telling the man of the prophecies related to Christ. The cobbler said that he did not know of these writings, though he was familiar with similar teachings and other similar things that Egyptians learned from childhood. The cobbler’s name was Iānus, pronounced Janus meaning duality or two viewpoints. However, before leaving Alexandria, St Mark ordained Ianus as a bishop.

serapis1After two years absence, Mark returned to Alexandria to find that this spiritual community there had flourished, and a place of worship had been built in a place called Boukolou, near the sea. Many Christians traveled to Egypt in order to visit the evangelist’s tomb in Eastern Alexandria. Mark died on the most holy of Christian holy day’s as he also died at Easter on the festival of the Egyptian God version of Christ called Serapis Christus. The Emperor Hadrian refers to this pre-existing Christian Cult in Egypt as “..The worshipers of Serapis who are the Bishops of Christ…”

The Words on the book translated into English from Latin say “Peace prepares Mark the Evangelist.”

It is very interesting that the symbol of Mark the Evangelist is the winged lion as this is also the symbol of Mithras, a later form of Serapis and the keeper of the hidden mysteries.

The Tarot major acarna is a pictorial depiction of the soul’s journey down the path of enlightenment. The tarot only progresses one way. You cant go backwards. Once you begin to seek you start to find. Once you experience things you can’t unexperience them. Once you learn things you cant unlearn them. Once you know things you can’t unknow them.

Your journey has begun. Don’t be impulsive, plan your advancement. Watch where you are going. Have something to lean on that will help you keep you balance. Listen to good advice from the ones who have walked this path before. Then you will not be foolish, you will avoid disaster, you will grow wise and empowered.

You cant go backwards. Just as the sun cannot go backwards in the sky. You are awaking like the sun over the eastern sea. Your journey down the path of enlightenment has begun.
